Red Flags in Dating

It’s important to know and pay attention to red flags. A person can ride in on a white horse carrying a red flag and often we only see the white horse.

Bad behavior usually starts off small and subtly. It’s easy to overlook the small stuff. But if you tolerate the small stuff, it sets the expectation that more bad behavior will be tolerated. So, if you find that you are not happy, a little nervous, or even start disliking yourself around your partner, it’s time to start looking at the relationship. You don’t have to stay in a bad situation.

If you speak up when the small stuff starts or set some boundaries and their behavior changes, it is no longer a red flag. Some people just need to know your limits.  Learning about red flags and having them in the back of your brain can help you avoid bad situations.
